How to Automate Quote Follow-Up

A five-touch follow-up sequence that runs itself and closes the loop on every quote.

By Chris G Jones · · 3 min read

Most quotes are chased once

One follow-up is standard, two is rare, five is almost unheard of. That gap is where the work goes.

Automated chasing is not pushy if the messages are short, useful and easy to reply to.

The sequence I use

Fixed schedule, mixed channels, human tone.

  • Day 0 — quote sent, receipt confirmed
  • Day 2 — short check that it arrived, one qualifying question
  • Day 5 — answer the most common objection for that job type
  • Day 10 — offer a call or a deposit link
  • Day 21 — polite close-out that invites a reply later

Close the loop properly

Every quote ends as won, lost with a reason, or dormant. Dormant goes into nurture, not the bin.

GoHighLevel handles this well once configured. For trade businesses that want it built and run for them, that is Keystone AI's core job.
