Who is responsible for your data

This site is operated by Chris G Jones. If you contact me about your data, use the contact page.

What is collected

• Information you submit — the name, email address, business name and message you enter into the enquiry or checklist forms.
• Basic usage data — pages visited and general technical information such as browser type, used to understand which content is useful.

No special category data is requested, and you should not send confidential financial or tax documents through a web form.

Why it's collected

To reply to your enquiry, to send you a resource you asked for, and to improve the content on this site. The lawful bases are your consent (for resources and updates) and legitimate interests (replying to enquiries and maintaining the site).

Sharing

Data may be processed by the service providers that host this site, deliver email and provide analytics. It is not sold. Where an enquiry clearly relates to one of my companies, I may pass it to that company so it can respond.

Retention

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed for the enquiry and any resulting work, then deleted. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for removal.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you can object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Cookies and analytics

This site aims to use only what's necessary to function, plus privacy-respecting analytics to see which pages are read. If cookie-based tracking is added later, this policy and a consent notice will be updated first.
