We look at what is happening now, where the pressure is coming from, and what needs to change first.

A focused review for owners
The Owner’s Review
For owners who have built a real business, but still feel too involved in the day-to-day.
Who this is for
The Owner’s Review is for business owners who have built a real business, but still feel too involved in the day-to-day.
You may already know something is not working. The harder part is working out what is actually causing it and what to do first.
That may include sales follow-up, team ownership, customer journey, systems, reporting, leadership structure or the way work moves through the business.
The aim is simple: help you understand why the business feels harder to run than it should, and what to do about it.

The problems owners bring me
This review is usually useful when:
- Too much still depends on you.
- The same problems keep coming back.
- The team is busy, but ownership is unclear.
- Enquiries come in, but follow-up is inconsistent.
- You have systems, but people work around them.
- Growth has made the business harder to run.
The common thread is simple. Something important still needs you to hold it together.
What we look at
We start with the work as it actually happens, then make the important parts visible.
01
What is happening now
Where does the pressure show up, and what happens next in practice?
02
Where the work gets stuck
Who touches the work, where does it wait and who owns the next action?
03
What it is costing you
What is being missed, delayed or left to you to sort out?
04
What needs to change first
What we fix now, and what can wait.
From there, I will tell you plainly what needs to change first.
The practical outcome
What you walk away with
You will leave with:
- A plain answer on what is causing the pressure
- What it is likely costing you in time and money
- The options in front of you
- What to change first
- A 30-day plan you can start on Monday
- A short written summary you can share with your team
No thick report. Just enough on paper to make the next move obvious.
What the written summary looks like
It is a short, practical record of what is happening, the decision in front of you and what needs to happen next.
For example, an owner may think the problem is a lack of leads. Looking at the work often shows enquiries are arriving and then sitting there, because nobody owns the next action apart from the owner.

The cost and commitment
This is a paid, focused piece of work. It is best considered when the recurring issue is already costing more than leaving it alone — in owner time, missed follow-up, delayed decisions or team capacity.
I scope the review from your application and confirm the exact fee before we arrange anything. If the issue does not justify a paid review, I will say so and point you towards the free Owner Dependency Check instead.
There is no ongoing commitment and no expectation that you buy further work afterwards.
Relevant experience
I have built, sold and bought back a business, and have spent more than 20 years accountable for commercial decisions and the work behind them.
Through Reclaim Tax UK, I have supported more than 1,000 businesses and helped recover more than £100m for clients. The point is not the numbers. It is knowing that a small gap in the work can become an expensive problem if nobody looks at it properly.
How it works
First, you fill in a short application so I understand what is happening and what is at stake.
If I think I can help, we arrange the review.
It is two focused conversations and a short written summary.
The first conversation is about what is happening now. The second is where I tell you what is causing it, the options and what to change first.
If I am not the right person to help, I will tell you.
Before you apply
This is for owner-led businesses where something real is at stake.
It is probably worth applying if:
- The problem keeps coming back rather than happening once.
- It is costing you money, time or good people.
- You can make the decision once it is clear.
- You are happy to look at how the work actually runs, not just the software around it.
It is not right if you want a business coach, a supplier quote, a quick software recommendation or a general chat with no clear problem behind it.
We are not reviewing every part of the company. We look at what is holding you in the business right now.
The next step
Tell me what is happening
Tell me what is going on, why it matters now and what would make a real difference. If it is a good fit, I will come back to you with the next step.
