Used by me
Business tax and funding · QuotedChartered Accountant (placeholder)
A UK chartered practice handling statutory accounts, corporation tax and payroll across my companies.
What they do
Year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, payroll, VAT reviews and general compliance for UK limited companies.
What I use them for
Statutory filing, payroll and a quarterly sense-check on numbers before decisions get made.
Why I recommend this route
A good accountant will tell you what they do not cover. Specialist reliefs such as R&D or capital allowances are usually one of those things, which is why they sit with a specialist instead.
Best for
Limited companies that have outgrown a bookkeeper and need proper compliance cover.
What to check before you commit
- Are they regulated by a recognised UK body?
- Is the fee fixed, or does every question become billable?
- Who actually does the work — the partner or a junior?
- Do they handle specialist tax relief claims, or refer them out?
